Dutch-Canadian pianist Ineke Helby received her first piano lessons from her father at the age of four.  Growing up in the area where Belgium, Germany and the Netherlands meet she enjoyed the benefits of  the three different music education systems.

Ineke earned her piano teacher degree and piano performance degree (Bachelors and Masters equivalent)  at the Maastricht Conservatory of Music under Frederic Meinders and Joop Celis.   Subsequently she took further lessons and master classes with Avi Schonfield, Eliane Rodrigues, Tan Crone, Peter Donohue, Carola Grindrea, Ian Hobson, John Paul Bracey, and Valentina Kotko.

Ineke has performed solo and chamber music concerts in the Netherlands, Germany, Belgium, Mexico, USA and Canada. She has taught in various music schools, academies and privately in Europe and North America.  Recently she has performed in different concert series as part of the piano duet “Duo Sakura”.
